Overview
Evergreen Services Group is a holding company committed to acquiring services companies and becoming a permanent home for them. Our mission is to marry capital allocation with inspired operations to create North America’s best home for businesses and their leaders. We acquire managed IT companies, government service providers and application management companies. We are looking for an M&A professional to help us grow our inorganic growth engine and find the next best businesses and their leaders to partner with.
Position Overview
The day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Identifying and reaching out to business owners via phone, email and in-person
- Crafting a compelling message and story to business owners as to why they should sell to Evergreen
- Qualifying and analyzing deals based on Evergreen’s investment criteria
- Working with key stakeholders and senior management to win the deal and carry it through the diligence process
- Attending industry events in sectors of interest for Evergreen
- Working with investing and senior management team to research and identify new industries of interest for Evergreen
Candidates should be excited about a role where they will spend a significant amount of time building relationships and speaking with business owners. They will be owning and driving these relationships forward through email, phone calls, conferences, and responsible for bringing new acquisition opportunities to the table. Candidates will interface with CEOs, Evergreen senior management, and bankers/brokers on a daily basis. They will also be responsible for basic financial analysis, deal qualifying and ultimately signing up new acquisitions.

Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience in a role with some form of business development preferred
- Undergraduate degree with a track record of strong academic and extracurricular performance
- Strong interest in Private Equity and business development

Evergreen Services Group is a San Francisco based holding company that acquires and operates B2B services companies across the US. Founded in late 2017, Evergreen currently owns 7 platform companies with a total of over 1,500 employees across 30+ offices and has completed 25+ tuck-in acquisitions that have integrated with its platform acquisitions. Evergreen invests across industries, including Managed IT services, Cybersecurity, Core Software and Government Services. Role
Analysts will start ASAP, or in the summer of 2022 and be focused on the operations team. All analysts will receive exposure to driving inorganic and organic growth across our portfolio.
The day-to-day responsibilities of this candidate will consist of:
- Fueling the organic growth engine across the Evergreen portfolio and driving value post-close
- Working closely with Evergreen CEOs and executives across strategy and operations at our portfolio companies
- Working on special operations projects with Evergreen’s President & COO that include building out sections of the operations playbook and analyzing potential growth levers
- Exposure to the investment process including financial analysis and due diligence
Qualifications
- We’re looking for recent grads (1 year of experience) or rising seniors (Class of ‘22) with a strong academic background at a leading university (GPA minimum of 3.6)
- Demonstrated interest in finance, investing, and private equity
- Proven financial, quantitative, and modeling skills
- Previous relevant internship or full-time experience (investment banking, private equity, investment management, hedge funds, or similar financial roles are preferred)

THE ROLE
As a summer sourcing analyst, you will help build and execute on Evergreen’s deal pipeline. Your responsibilities will include identifying and qualifying new acquisition opportunities, building relationships and conducting calls with founders, managing and building our database, working directly with our platform CEOs, and assisting the investing team through diligence.

Scaling and managing our database, outreach, and relationships with founders and CEOs are the most critical inputs to continuing to perpetuate Evergreen’s deal flow. The sourcing internship is a unique opportunity to personally drive that forward and have direct ownership in building our deal pipeline. The sourcing team is responsible for everything from initial outreach to signed LOIs and our interns are directly involved in each piece. We aim for our interns to grow into full-time Sourcing roles at Evergreen after graduation.
