Integritek, which provides technology services and support for SMBs, has acquired Acutech Network Services. Financial terms were not disclosed.
This is Austin, Texas-based Integritek’s fifth acquisition in the last 12 months and its first since accepting an investment from Evergreen Services Group in August 2018. For its part, Evergreen has been buying MSPs across the United States. The twist? Post-deal, each acquired MSP maintains its unique management style and focus.
Acutech has provided on-site network services, remote (managed) services, and hosted/cloud services to SMBs in Southern California since 1995. The company’s client base ranges from small 8 to 10 person offices to midsized companies with more than 100 computers, 10-plus servers, multiple locations, and complex network security requirements, the firm says. Acutech works across a number of industries including accounting firms, insurance companies, law offices, medical groups, and more.
Acutech’s CEO Patrick Sullivan and the rest of the firm’s staff will join Integritek to help grow the company’s footprint in Southern California, Integritek said.
“This deal is a continuation of Integritek’s unique acquisition strategy that predates our involvement,” said Ramsey Sahyoun, Evergreen’s Head of M&A. “We’re really excited to see Integritek expand into a big new market like Southern California, and Acutech is the perfect partner.”
Integritek, which launched 2006, says it will continue to actively pursue acquisition opportunities nationwide “where they can serve as a long-term home for IT service providers that want to see their employees and customers taken care of post-acquisition.”
Acquisition & Expansion
Evergreen, backed by Alpine Investors, has made multiple acquisitions this year. Each deal allows MSPs like Integritek to maintain their existing leadership teams and continue running their own business while leveraging Evergreen’s financial support to assist with talent, technology, and other types of investments.
At the time of the Evergreen-Integritek deal, Integritek was already working its way into new regions through its M&A strategy. Indeed, that strategy appears to be what caught the eye of Evergreen in the first place with Sahyoun calling it “the most effective acquisition strategy” he’s seen in the MSP space to date. “They’re unique in their fanaticism around customer happiness post-acquisition, and it shows in the end result,” he said at the time.
Evergreen says it continues to actively invest in leading managed services providers throughout the United States, where it can serve as a long-term capital partner and support future growth.
